Who I am
Computer science student, security researcher, D1 swimmer, and trilingual human from Brazil living in San Antonio, TX.
I'm Luis — currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, with a focus on cybersecurity and computer programming.
My academic journey started at Iowa Central Community College in Iowa, where I earned an Associate of Arts in Business/Commerce while swimming competitively. I transferred to UIW to go deeper into security and systems — and haven't looked back.
At UIW I work as both a Research Lab Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant, where I simulate real-world critical infrastructure attacks, build ICS/SCADA testbeds, and conduct vulnerability assessments on embedded systems.
Outside the lab and classroom, I'm the Swim Team Captain and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Competing at the D1 level has shaped how I think — discipline, consistency, and performing under pressure.
I'm fluent in Portuguese, English, and intermediate Spanish. Originally from Brazil, now building a career in cybersecurity in the US.
